Just a couple of weeks after recording their first EP at home in the attic, Ai Phoenix was to became famous when they won P3's demo competition (later Urørt) with the song "Be My Enemy" in 1998. The debut album Film was first released on their own label that same year, and later picked up by Oslo-based Dbut Records in 1999. It was the second album The Driver Is Dead that would take the band out into the world, when they were signed to Racing Junior, and later to several foreign labels such as Germany's Glitterhouse. Later they were also nominated for the Spellemann for the album Lean That Way Forever . But it is still Film that remains perhaps the biggest Ai Phoenix favorite. Since the album has barely been available since it was released, and the fact that it is not available on streaming services, has given it the status of a hidden treasure. So this, yes, this is an exclusive release.
