Description
ACT - SEPTEMBER FIELDS (1985)
In 1985, the Oslo-based band Act came out with their first record on their own label with distribution by Sonet Records. The band consisted of Bjørn Kulseth (vocals/guitar), Rune Krogseth (vocals/guitar), Trond Ihlen (bass) and Dag Bøgeberg (drums). The band had artists such as The Jam, Nick Lowe and Elvis Costello as sources of inspiration, and the music press embraced them from the start. At the start they were called The Act, and under this name they released the single "Dream Talk", but they removed "The" before the album release. September Fields was released with producer help from Steve Berlin (saxophonist in Los Lobos, Blasters etc.)
