Description
3 BUS ROLLS – SUDDELI-DUTTAN-DEI (1977)
A cheerful singing group from Åkrahavn on Karmøy, formed in 1962 by Karl Magnus Sjøen, Oddvar Andreassen and Sverre Jensen. They took their name from the title of one of the songs they performed; "Tresko og busserull". The trio had annual appearances at Christmas events in Åkrahavn at first, but disbanded when Jensen died. The group started up again in 1975, now with Sjøen, Andreassen and Lasse Pedersen. They participated in the TV program Ferske fjes in 1977, where they performed two self-composed songs. Audun Tylden at Polygram saw the program and offered the group a record deal. The same year they released their debut Suddeli-duttan-dei – a collection of songs with strong elements of both the maritime and the funny.
