The Young Norwegians released some singles on Triola and Troll in 1966, followed by the album Things on Our mind. In 1967 Lillebjørn Nilsen began the music course at Hartvig Nissens Skole in Oslo, where he met Steinar Ofsdal, who played double bass, cello, fiddle and willow flute. The two soon became friends, and Lillebjørn persuaded him to join the vice group. Thus, Steinar Ofsdal joined their next LP, Music, which was released in 1968.
